Parts of Speech কি?
যে সকল words বা শব্দ দিয়ে sentence বা বাক্য তৈরি করা হয়, তার এক একটিকে Parts of Speech বলা হয়। বাক্যে word গুলির কাজ অনুসারে ৮টি ভাগে ভাগ করা হয়।

1. Nouns বলতে কি বোঝ?
যে কোন নাম কেই Noun বলা হয়। যা আমরা দেখতে পাই, অনুভব করি, ভাবতে পারি; যার নাম আছে তাই Noun.

2. Pronouns বলতে কি বোঝ?
নামের পরিবর্তে যা বসে তাই হল Pronoun.

3. Adjectives বলতে কি বোঝ?
যা Nouns কে ব্যাখ্যা বা বর্ণনা করে।

good, bad, hot, cold, long, short, small, large, hard, soft, new, old, thick, thin, wet, dry, deep. shallow, full, empty, ripe, raw, sweet, sour, fresh, stale, clean, dirty, poor, rich, fool, clever.

যা কিছু করা বা হওয়া কে বোঝায়।

যা Nouns / Peonouns আগে বসে সম্পর্ক তৈরি করে।

7. Conjunctions বলতে কি বোঝ?
যা words, clause, sentence কে যোগ করে।

8. Interjections বলতে কি বোঝ?
যা বিস্ময়, আবেগ প্রকাশ করে।
